TWD: Mocha-(Not) Walnut Marbled Bundt Cake

I'm here and on time with photos!!!

Erin from When in Doubt...Leave it at 350 chose this bundt cake this week for Tuesdays' with Dorie. I changed up a few things.

I had whole walnuts in the freezer and ground toasted hazelnuts in the freezer too. Which do you think I chose to go with?

Yep, the hazelnuts. Once less food chopper to clean.

The only other change I made was to sub buttermilk for the whole milk because I needed to use it up.

I didn't get much of a marble effect....which could be because I didn't drag my knife through the batter. Ya think? I dumped 3/4 of the vanilla batter into the pan and the the chocolate/coffee right on top and left it.

I did however, serve a slice with a little warmed Nutella on the side!! Now...that's heaven.

This cake was dense and flavorful and tasting of hazelnuts and mocha. I will be making this again...and I will try for more marbling next time.

Don't forget to stop by here to see the other bakers.

Thanks for stopping by.

I have the same plates! Warm nutella might just be the best side dish for any food on the planet.
