TWD: Choc-a freakin-block Cookies

I honestly don't think I could have fit much more into these cookies. They were certainly chock full of mix-ins. Let's see, there was chocolate chips, raisins, coconut, oatmeal and butterscotch chips.

I left out the nuts because nobody in my family will eat cookies if they have nuts in them. I think the nuts would have cut the sweetness a lot...but then I would have ended up eating all 43 cookies by myself. Not so good.

I scooped these pretty big and didn't get much spreading. Like others have said, you could taste the molasses plenty in the raw dough...but once the cookies were baked there was just a little hint of the flavor.

There is a big ziploc bag full of these babies in my freezer. Perfect for lunch boxes of late night snacks. :)

Thanks Mary. Your blog Popsicles and Sandy Feet makes me think of summer...even while it's pouring rain and windy outside my window.

Oh yeah, here's my Swedish Visiting Cake I made but didn't post about because I was so flippin' late. It was yum too.

Slivered almonds and the lack of any lemon zest anywhere in my house necessitates the need to have to bake this again.

Wouldn't pass this up in a pinch though.

Don't forget to take a look here to see what the others baked up.

We love nuts so I went with walnuts, dates and burgandy chocolate chunks. Delicious!

Your cookies look delicious! We liked both recipes. Definitely the cake needs the lemon.

Your cookies truly look awesome! I think I'll add some butterscotch chips next time, along with all of the other goodies. Loved these! And your cake looks great, too.
