Ok...I'll be honest. I made these twice. The first time I made a mistake and used reduced-fat peanut butter. (I know, the horror!!!) That's not to say they didn't turn out good. They did, just flat, crispy and not at all what I was looking forward to. But it's ok...because I ended up dipping them in bittersweet chocolate and sprinkling some chopped nuts on the chocolate. Took them to a Labor Day BBQ and they were a huge hit.
The second time, I wised up and used regular creamy peanut butter. Much better this time around. Chewy in the middle, crispy on the edges. Half of the dough I made without any mix-ins and the second half I threw in half a bag of milk chocolate chips.
I didn't bother with the crisscrosses on the pb and chocolate cookies. Even on the plain peanut butter cookies, my crosses didn't show up too much.
These are perfect little cookies to have on hand for anything, anything at all. And dipped, take them to a party!
Thank you Jasmine over at Jasmine Cuisine for picking this recipe.

chocolate dipped cookies are such a good idea! awesome! (and omg low-fat pb should not even exist)
all of a sudden, dipping them in chocolate makes them go from ordinary to SPECIAL, ie. serving-tray material. nice job!
I'm appreciate your writing skill. Please keep on working hard.^^
